    The new backpackers have a shoulder stock that does not screw to the grip frame like the 1399 does.
    It just snugs on and lets this spring-loaded pin catch and hold it at the back of the gun frame.
    On and off in seconds.  Really a nice feature, especially for backpackers.
    You may need a replacement now (or later) for your backpacker.  Here you go!
    You also might want to add this capability to you 2240 or 1322 / 1377, etc.
    If you have a Backpacker,
    I'd consider this an emergency item.  You rarely need one, but when you do you likely can't get a replacement locally or quickly.
