You don't see the 21" factory barrel because there isn't one.
I professionally cut and crown these from new Crosman longer barrels.  I do it all the time for custom guns and customer requests.
My crowns are done on the lathe and are prettier than anything I have ever seen on a Crosman barrel.  The lathe crowning tool followed by the lapping tool make them straight and true.
I touch up the very end face with bluing touch up pen and then treat the entire exterior with Eezox as I do with ALL barrels both when I receive them and as they are shipped.
There should be just because it is in that sweet spot in between an 18" and a 24" barrel.  21" is a nice in between length.
It has length for good power gains and is nice when a muzzle brake or LDC is added.
The 24" may be a bit long and adding to it with either of those accessories really gets them out there... possibly too far.
Remember if you are changing calibers (from .22 to .177) you'll need a probe change as well.  Barrel band will depend on the model you are converting.
Note: There is a small (3/4" long) shallow (1/32"?) ledge on the exact top of these .177 barrels.  It is from 6 1/4" to 7" from the breech end. It is blued like the rest of the barrel.  It comes that way from the factory... presumably for a rear sight for a 1760 or something.  All of these have it.  I don't mind it in the least but want to make it known.
This Crosman part is freshly new (not old stock) and has never been used or installed.
