Converted a crosman 1740 co2 gun to a pcp using a valve extension called a safepac.
Also upgraded to a benjamin discovery valve poppet stem to handle the higher pressure and heat generated by filling. The standard co2 stems will melt.
Has an 18" barrel that was professionally crowned by AlchemyAir. Its a tack driver with even cheap crosman pellets. It was so accurate with the open sights i never needed a scope even out to 30 yards its more than capable of a pass thru head shot on a squirrel. So mind your backstop!
Not too loud surprisingly without a muzzle device. The ported brake makes it sound pretty cool.
Has an LPA MIM rear sight and custom shop muzzle brake with pin sight. These 2 items alone cost me 90 bucks.
Steel breech with extended probe.
Restricted transfer port to 3/32"
MellonAir skinny bolt handle.
MagnumAir breech screw.
2250 carbine stock kit.
Stainless steel socket head hardware.
Ligthened and shimmed trigger and sear.
Single stage trigger but is crisp and predictable.
.038" hammer sping with a brass spring guide and set screw power adjuster.
Runs on 2800 psi, gets 12 shots at 12 ft lbs of energy with crosman 7.9 grain hollow points.
Can be set lower power for a couple more shots but i wouldnt mess with it without having a chronograph.
Best part, this little guy takes only 15 pumps from a hand pump to refill!
Weighs less than 5 lbs.
This was another money pit but thats the name of the game, i enjoy building and tuning thesd guns and hopefully people enjoy them.
Hate to see it go, its a great 10m gun or sparrow sniper, just need to thin the herd some more.
